About the Journal

The RKGP Journal of Food Science (RKGP-JFS) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing research in food science and technology. The journal publishes original research that explores the foundational sciences underlying the development, processing, and management of food resources. Dedicated to fostering scientific innovation, RKGP-JFS releases four issues annually (quarterly), providing a platform for emerging and high-quality research in the field.

The scope of RKGP-JFS encompasses diverse areas of food science, including but not limited to food processing, food management, food packaging and preservation, food chemistry, food analysis, food technology, food engineering, and food microbiology. The journal particularly welcomes contributions from specialists in nutrition and related disciplines.

RKGP-JFS publishes a range of scholarly content, including original research articles, short communications, critical reviews, commentaries, case studies, and letters to the editor. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review, and editorial decisions are made in accordance with reviewers’ recommendations. Authors can typically expect a decision on their manuscript within four weeks of submission, with accepted papers published in the next scheduled issue, generally within one month of acceptance.

  • Critical Reviews, Surveys, Opinions, Commentaries, and Essays – Analytical and perspective articles addressing current issues in food science.

RKGP-JFS operates under an open-access model, allowing readers unrestricted access to abstracts and full texts of all published articles.

Manuscript Handling Fee
A manuscript handling fee of $350 (USD) applies to all accepted articles. In exceptional cases, authors may request publication fee support prior to submission.
