About the Journal
RKGP Journal of Pain Management and Anesthesiology (RKGP-JPMA) is an International Open Access peer reviewed publication that discusses current research and publishes articles of scientific and clinical studies to improve the understanding and clinical application of regional techniques for surgical anesthesia and post-operative analgesia. The journal has a special interest in all forms of research pertaining to pain management and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia.
RKGP-JPMA covers several key aspects in this field by including research on topics like intraoperative regional techniques, perioperative pain, chronic pain, obstetric anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, outcome studies, and complications.
Pain management also known as algiatry is the medical approach for modifying all types of chronic pain, including spinal, neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain disorders, thereby improving the quality of life of patients. Anesthesiology is the branch of medicine specialized in the use of drugs or other agents that cause insensibility to pain. The medical specialty concerned with the pharmacological, physiological, and clinical basis of anesthesia, including resuscitation, intensive respiratory care, and pain management. Anesthesiologists are trained to help ease chronic pain through a range of interventional and minimally invasive procedures and anesthesia enables the painless performance of procedures that would cause severe or intolerable pain to an anesthetized patient. Anesthesia is an integral and important part of any major surgical procedure. Established medical guidelines are available for local and general anesthesia. Various factors are important during application of anesthesia protocol where patient’s age, exact disease condition etc. should be carefully put into consideration.
The journal encourages advancements in the areas not limited to the one mentioned above in the form of research articles, reviews, commentaries, case studies and letters to the editors. Manuscripts that are thoroughly peer reviewed are published to promote the best standards in the industry. The Editor’s decision to publish a paper in accordance with referee(s) opinion is considered final.
The Journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. All articles are peer-reviewed. Our objective is to inform authors of the decision on their manuscript(s) within four weeks of submission. Following acceptance, a paper will normally be published in the next issue. Papers will be published approximately one month after acceptance.

Open Access
RKGP-JPMA is an open access journal. Abstracts and full texts of all articles published in the journals can be read online without any form of restriction.

RKGP-JPMA articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International License. Readers can copy, distribute, transmit and adapt the work provided the original work and source is appropriately cited.

Submission of a manuscript implies that authors have met the requirements of the editorial policy and publication ethics. Authors retain the copyright of their articles published in the journal. However, authors agree that their articles remain permanently open access under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International License.
Manuscript Handling Fee
The manuscript handling fee for RKGP-JPMA is $550 (USD). Under some special circumstances, authors may request in advance for publication fee support.
